Accessibility
- The Gardens are situated on sloping ground, which in some areas rises from 200 metres to over 300 metres. Some areas are steep, with stepped areas and which are only partially wheelchair-accessible. Wheelchair-users may require additional assistance.
- Two designated disabled parking spaces in the Car Park - these are situated in close proximity to the Pedestrian Entrance to Hergest Gardens which is located across the road.
- The Visitors' Car Park is on a grass surface.
- There is also a disabled drop-off point adjacent to the Reception entrance/exit of Hergest Croft House.
- A portable access ramp is available to access the ticket office in Reception and Tea Room beyond.
- A wheelchair is available on loan to visitors from Reception.
- Pathways within the Gardens are a mixture of hard surfaces (granite chippings) with mowed grass pathways in a number of areas; these can be slippery and muddy in wet weather.

Brief description
Set in over 70 acres near the small, historic town of Kington, Hergest Croft Gardens is close to the Welsh Border and to the Offa's Dye Walking Trail.
Hergest Croft Gardens celebrated its centenary in 1996 and is the home of the UK National Collection of Maples, Birches and Zelkova Trees. The Gardens also have many other rare trees and a wide variety of other plants to be seen throughout the year, including: its Rose Gardens, Azalea Grove, Maple Grove, Orchard, Vegetable and Fruit Gardens, Spring Border, Herbaceous Borders, Woodland areas and Conservatory. There are fine views of the Malvern Hills from the Gardens.

Hergest Croft Gardens is just off the A44: approximately 15 miles from Leominster;18-20 miles from Hereford. The entrance to the Gardens and to its Car Park is signposted on Ridgebourne Road, off Montford Road, Kington.

Gardens Only:
- Season Ticket Holders: Permitted daily admission to the Gardens throughout the year. Annual cost per Season Ticket: £27. (available from Hergest Croft Gardens Estate Office: Tel 01544 230160).
- Non-Season Ticket Holders: The Gardens are open annually on a limited number of dates during March; then daily from April - October inclusive. Opening Hours: 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Please ensure to check current opening dates and times with the Venue prior to travelling.
Maples Tearoom: Open daily from March - October inclusive. Currently (as at November 2021): The Tearoom is also open during November 2021 on Wednesdays and Sundays, 10.00 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. and for Christmas lunch on 5th December - further details on the 'Tearoom and Shop' web page.

- Groups -£6.00 (Minimum 20 adult visitors in a Group), booking essential.

- Adult Season Ticket - £27.00 Annually. Season-Ticket Holders are enabled to visit the Gardens daily throughout the year including when the Gardens are closed to other visitors. The ticket is non-transferable.
- Members of the Historic Houses Association: No charge.(NB: Members and friends of the Historic Houses Association are welcome to visit the gardens free, except during the Flower Fair and Plant Fair)

By Rail: Nearest Railway Stations are:
Hereford: .Step-free access through the ticket hall to Platform 3 and 4. A footbridge lifts connects Platforms 1 and 2. Take care on all platforms whilst using a wheelchair or a pushchair as platforms are on gentle ramps and wheelchair /pushchair brakes should be applied for safety when stationary. Cafe. Toilets including disabled toilet located on Platform 3 - access to the disabled toilets is by 'National Radar Scheme' key. The National key toilets are only available during Ticket Office opening hours.
Leominster: Step-free access to Platform 1 ( to Shrewsbury). Access to Platform 2 (to Hereford) via a footbridge with a lift. Note - there are no platform staff at this station. This station has no Refreshment or toilet facilities.
By Bus:
From Hereford: Service no. 461 runs hourly until early evening to Kington village near the Gardens. - bus stops near Hereford Station.
From Leominster: There is no direct bus service from Leominster to the Kington and Hergest Gardens. From Leominster - take train to Hereford ,then bus service 461 to Kington from bus stop near Hereford Station.
