There is no parking at the church but High Street parking is available behind the Craven House Museum half a block below the church on the high street. The church is set on a slope. Wooden seating is on the lawns in front of the church. There is a single-file pavement on the roundabout in front of the church wall. The double entrance gate has two steps up, a flat area of about one metre then two more steps onto the stone-slabbed pathway. There is a notice about church services pinned to the gate. To the right of the path is a flight of about six stone steps with no handrail leading to the right of the church building. There is a yellow sign indicating wheelchair access near the entrance gate and to the left. A white metal notice on the front gatepost shows the church is open between 8.30am and 6pm. There is one step up into the vestibule where a free-standing noticeboard is displayed. There is one step up after the choir stalls and a metre/yard in front of the rood screen.
The shop has four bi-folding doors leading inside. There are free-standing racks and shelves in the shop.
The Taste and See restaurant is through a Gothic wooden doorway where a notice shows that the restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 3.00pm.
Brief description
Holy Trinity church is Medieval in origin, much restored and is grade I listed English Gothic architecture. First built in wood in the 12th century, the present building dates back to about 1300 AD and is still in regular use today. It is a World Heritage site. Members of the influential Clifford family are buried here. In the shop on the south wall there is a medieval fresco representing the hand of death. There is ornate wooden carving on the rood screen. The ceiling is dark oak timbered with coloured heraldic emblems.
