Brief description
A Grade II* listed 12th Century Anglican Church situated in the village of Wistanstow, Craven Arms. Holy Trinity Church, Wistanstow, which is within the Diocese of Hereford.
The Church building dates from 1180-1200 and is on the site of an earlier Saxon church; the building was added to in the 14th Century and 17th Century and was considerably restored in Victorian times. It has a number of features of interest including :
- Church Tower housing a Ring of 8 bells
- Church Organ
- Beautiful stained glass windows.
- A number of 18th - early 19th Century box pews
- A war memorial Plaque dedicated to parishioners who died in World Wars I and II.

Holy Trinity is situated in the centre of the small village of Wistanstow which is situated just off the A49 between Shrewsbury and Hereford and the A489. Take the turning signposted for Wistanstow .
Situated approximately: 2 miles/3.2 kilometres north of Craven Arms; 5 miles/8 kilometres south of Church Stretton; 8.5 miles/ 13.7 kilometres north of Ludlow.

Transport
By Train: Nearest Railway Station: Craven Arms Station operated by Transport for Wales ( TFW) on the Chester - Cardiff Central Line , via Shrewsbury, Whitchurch, Nantwich and Crewe . The station is approximately 1.9 miles/3.06 kilometres from Wistanstow. Craven Arms Station is not staffed and does not have a ticket office, toilets or refreshment facilities. Step-free access to Platform 1 (to Shrewsbury) is available via a ramp from Ash Close. Step free access to Platform 2 (to Hereford) is available from the car park. Both platforms are connected via a footbridge only.
(Nearest Railway Station which is staffed, with step-free access to all platforms, toilets and refreshment facilities is: Shrewsbury Station ( 21.4 miles/ 34.4 kilometres) (then complete journey by taxi or by bus) .
By Bus: Bus Service no. 435 (operated by Minsterley Motors) between Ludlow - Shrewsbury via Craven Arms town centre calls at Wistantow ( alight at bus stop outside The Plough Inn approximately 2 minutes walk away from Holy Trinity Church. Bus Service no. 435 operates. Mon - Sat only excluding bank holidays. As at August 2021: Buses approx 1 x per hour Mon - Fri daytime only; approx every 2 hours on Sat ( daytime only).
By Foot: Wistanstow is approximately 35 minutes' walk from Craven Arms town centre.
