Accessibility:

The carpark is near the entrance of the centre with disability bays available. The entrance is easily accessible. At the centre there is access to toilets for disabled visitors however on some of the routes access to toilets is limited, with a step into the facilities and no specific disability toilets. You can hire a mobility scooter (the site only has 2) for a charge of €5. Make sure these are fully charged before you begin the routes as you may run out of battery before completing them.

The gate to the entrance of the park requires that you push it open. There is ramp access to exit the building however no automatic doors. On the routes there are some unfenced walkways next to bodies of water. Along the trails there are areas with no wheelchair access however these are clearly marked. Some parts of the trails accessible by wheelchair are steep and uneven, and, depending on the time of year, can have a lot of leaf fall. There are also some structures which are inaccessible by wheelchair.

The park does provide an audio tour specially designed for visually impaired visitors. 

 

Brief Description:

Occupying 35 acres, the Irish National Heritage Park allows visitors to explore reconstructed historical sites, portraying what life was like in Ancient Ireland. There are tours scheduled throughout the day.
