Accessibility
There are some small inclines around the village, otherwise it is relatively flat. Pavements tend to be quite narrow.
Brief description
The gateway to Skye, a busy thoroughfare to a tourist hotspot, Kyle of Lochalsh has a charm of its own. An interesting history of various modes of transport and stunning views across to Skye, especially from The Plock (accessible). Gavin Maxwell (author) made his home here and the Brightwater Visitor Centre on Skye pays tribute to him.
