Brief description

2026:

"Quakers have been worshipping in Lancaster since the earliest days of the movement in the mid 17th century. There has been a Meeting House on this site since 1677 and parts of the original building are still in use. As well as Lancaster Quakers the building is widely used by local community groups and organisations.

There are a number of rooms in the meeting house that are available for hire. See the 'Room Hire' tab (above) for details. Please direct all enquiries about booking rooms to the warden using the contact form

There is wheelchair access, a wheelchair–accessible toilet and wheelchair–friendly parking. A hearing loop system is in place for those who use hearing aids.

The main meeting room is fitted with cameras and screens which makes it possible to share meetings using Zoom or similar software apps.

The Meeting House Garden

The Meeting House garden is part of the Quiet Garden network www.quietgarden.org  providing a place to sit, be still, reflect and enjoy the peace.

Regular Meetings

We have regular Meetings for Worship every Sunday morning and Wednesday lunchtime. There is a Children's Meeting every Sunday and our Teenage Meeting worships at 7pm on the first Sunday of the month.
