Brief description

"A stroll up Church Lane is a walk through history, and right at the top is the Old Grammar School which houses the Heritage Centre, the perfect place to find out more about Ledbury's wealth of historic buildings.

Recently updated displays outline the development of the town, and panoramas of the High Street and The Homend take you back in time, listing what all the shops and offices were right back to the 18th century."

The Heritage Centre houses a museum of Ledbury history, with displays covering poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning and John Masefield and their association with Ledbury. You can also learn about Ledbury's canal and railway heritage and try your hand at building a scale-model timber-framed building.

The Heritage Centre is very easy to reach from the Market Hall in the centre of Ledbury's High Street. From the Hall it is just a few steps to the bottom of Church Lane, leading away from the High Street towards St Michael's Church. The Heritage Centre is at the top of the cobbled street on the left.

Opens Friday 28th May 2021 including Bank Holiday Monday from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

Then until the end of October:

Thursday & Friday   10:30am - 2:30pm
Saturday & Sunday   10:30am - 4:30pm
