Accessibility:
Wheelchair access is available at the south door and ramps are placed within the cathedral building at strategic points. There are some parking spaces suitable for blue badge holders on the street in front of the cathedral. Additionally, there are disability spaces in the St Martins House car park which may be available with prior arrangement.
Disability toilet facilities are available within the cathedral, St Martins House and, when it is open, the Guildhall, both of which are next to the cathedral. Large print versions of all publication are available and a hearing loop is operational during services.
Amenities:There is a gift shop on site. Refreshments can be bought at the White Rose Café located in St Martins House next door to the cathedral and is open Mon-Sat 10am-4pm.
Brief Description:Leicester Cathedral is at the physical heart of the city and county. The cathedral, built on the site of a Roman temple and dedicated to St Martin of Tours, has been embedded in the public, economic, cultural and religious life of this community since medieval times.
