Brief Description:

Llanarthne is a village around 7.5 miles east of Carmarthen and 6 miles south-west of Llandeilo. It straddles the Afon (River) Gwynon - a tributary of the nearby Afon Towy. The village consists of St David's Church (historically St Arthen's church) which has medieval roots, Saron Chapel, Emlyn Arms public house and Wright's Food Emporium restaurant.

A mix of traditional Welsh cottages and a modern housing make up the majority of the rest of the village.
