There is limited parking at the church. There is a grass path down a slope to the church porch, where there is a small step. There are steps up to the chancel area, including one by the screen, and another by the communion rail and altar. There are no toilets at the church.
Brief Description:St Ellyw is a redundant 13th century church in a remote location on the fringes of the Black Mountains, in the Brecon Beacons. The church boasts a 14th century rood screen and loft, medieval wall paintings, and 7th-9th century pillar stones.
