The defibrillator is attached to a wooden-built chip shop next to a large, flat, tarmacked car park. It is housed in a bright yellow plastic box to the left-hand side of the building. Instructions on use are included on the front of the box.

This is a prominent yellow box on the end of a fast food outlet in one of the busiest areas of Llansteffan.

From the A40 / A4242 roundabout on the Carmarthen bypass take the A40 west for a few hundred yards. Turn off at the brown sign for Llansteffan. The road goes back on itself. Turn right at the traffic lights and continue along this road for around 7.5 miles until you drop into Llansteffan and the 30 mph speed limit. As you drop down hill take the very sharp left hand bend, which is signposted to the beach and parking. Follow this road to the end where there is a large tarmac car park and the wooden building with the defibrillator on it can be found along the back edge next to the footpath leading up to the castle.
