Brief Description:

Our photographs show the garden at different seasons of the year, including those taken during the summer of 2021 when many of the plants are in bloom.

"Llwyngarreg is a 4-acre garden in West Wales and, although it is a private garden, it is part of the National Gardens scheme and is open to visitors by prior booking on https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/19755/. There is a huge variety of different plant, flower and tree species all planted and displayed in an aesthetically pleasing manner. "Started by Liz and Paul O’Neill in 2000 and joined the National Garden Scheme in 2006. We open ONLY for this charity, and are open on most days. To avoid disappointment, please check our phone message on: 01994 240717 . For group bookings, email lizpaulfarm@yahoo.co.uk

Our objective has been to create the right niches to grow the plants we admire and to try to do so in an aesthetically pleasing way. We grow a lot of plants which should do well in wet, mild,  West Wales; Rhododendron, Acer, Primula, Bamboos, blue Meconopsis, Magnolia and some which have been a surprise: Dierama, Agapanthus, Tigridia, and Colocasia. We have grown a lot of plants (including many trees) from seed and continue to do so.

If you visit please do not expect to see a completed garden; it will never be finished!  We enjoy making quirky structures, some out of living willow, which children can enjoy.

Wildlife has increased immeasurably as the garden has developed, most of it welcome, some merely tolerated! The bird and insect life thrives. There is the sound of running water and occasional chimes."
