Accessibility:
The centre has its own free car park with 12 blue badge bay parking spaces. Disability access toilets are available in both the car park and visitor centre. Wheelchairs are available on request and one mobility scooter hired by donation. Although access around the centre is across flat land on tarmac paths, throughout the reserve there are gates, which have to be opened and closed manually, to each of the bird pens and unaccompanied mobility scooter users can require assistance by its trained staff. Guide dogs are welcome. Accessible lifts are available between floors of one of the viewing towers. In the event of exit by the stairs, an ‘Evac-Chair’ is available. The London Wetlands Centre is a preserve for wildlife and an urban visitor attraction. It has lakes, ponds, gardens and a café and is located about 15 minutes drive from Hammersmith.

Directions:
If travelling by car the Centre is south of the river Thames, signposted off the A306 Castelnau Road from Hammersmith, turning east onto Queen Elizabeth Walk at the crossroads with Castelnau Road and Church Road. Amenities:
The Kingfisher Kitchen and Courtyard cafés serve refreshments, hot and cold meals and a selection of beers and wines. The WWT gift shop has a wide selection of souvenirs and products.
