Accessibility:

There is parking near to the library with blue badge disability spaces. On-street parking at the library is not available. Ramped access leads to automatic- opening double doors at the main entrance. There is flat floored access within the building and accessible lifts between floors. Motorised scooters are allowed within the building. A hearing loop system is also available on request. A disability access toilet is within the building and for the sole use of people with a disability. It features grab rails and an alarm pull cord.

Brief Description:

Located in the town centre the library allows traditional book borrowing in combination with services of computer use and internet connection, photocopying, colour printing and a fax machine.

Directions:

From Norwich travel south on the A146 towards Gillingham. Follow the A416 ‘Norwich Road’ south across the main roundabout of Gillingham and follow the road east into the centre of Lowestoft. Continue across several roundabouts onto ‘Normanston Drive’ and take the exit ahead over the roundabout onto the A4411east. Follow the road east until reaching the first roundabout of the A47. Take the exit south onto the A47 and at the next roundabout take the exit along ‘Clapham Road South’. The library will be visible on the east side of the road.

The library has a café serving refreshments open from 10:00am until 4:00pm from Tuesday to Friday. Lowestoft has many bars, pubs, clubs cafés and restaurants.
