Brief description

"Ludlow assembly rooms date back to 1840 - the buildings were later updated and restored in 1993. The people of the local community campaigned for it to become a place of entertainment for all of rural community to enjoy. It started off small but has grown over the years to provide a film or live event most nights of the year. 

This building offers a range of entertainment and classes to all of the community. Some of the classes they offer include: pilates, yoga, dance, acting, singing, photography and a range of lectures and talks. There are also a range of shows and performances from: ballet, orchestras, musicals as well as screening movies."

Currently Ludlow Assembly rooms are being refurbished

"The auditorium will become blessed with a new energy efficient air conditioning system along with raked seating, so you will all have a great view from the new comfortable chairs and be cool!.

Our new grand entrance is going to be directly off the Castle Square and we will be restoring the building back to its former glory. The ground floor will be transformed into a combined Box Office and Visitor Information Centre which will be positioned right next to our new Café Bar where you will be able to have a pre-show dinner, meet friends for drinks or simply have coffee and cake while you watch the world go by."

Currently Ludlow Assembly rooms are being refurbished - therefore Ludlow Visitor Information Centre is temporarily located in Ludlow Library. It is a good point of contact for visitors to the area- the volunteers can provide you with maps, leaflets and information on activities and accommodation nearby to make the most of your time in Ludlow whether it is for a day or a longer stay.

•  Head north-east on Chandlers Close toward Lower Galdeford (for 50 yards)
• Turn left onto Lower Galeford (0.1 miles)
• Turn left onto Tower Street (100 yards)
• Continue onto King Street (120 yards)
• Take a slight left onto High Street (110 yards)
• Continue onto Castle Square for 70 yards 
• Turn left onto Mill Street for 10 yards
