Accessibility:

The nearest car park is on Castle Street and at the end of the car park on Salisbury Street is a public disability access toilet. Access to the double door entrance is across a small step making wheelchair access without a ramp difficult. The floors are flat within the museum.

Brief Description:

A local museum holding thousands of items and photographs reflecting the history of Mere. The museum has a permanent exhibition about Mere and a larger exhibition which has a change of theme four times a year.

Travelling east or west on the A303 take the exit for the B3092 ‘castle Street’ in the direction of Mere. On entering Mere turn south into Barton Lane. At the end of the road the library and museum is on the junction on the east side of the road.
