Brief description

"Crossing from Bonhay Road just upstream from Blackaller Weir, the bridge was built in 2002 and is 54 meters long. It is a cable-stayed type of bridge. A simpler bridge then crosses over the flood channel to Flowerpot Playing Fields.

The most interesting feature of its design is the anchor to which the cables are attached. This is in the shape of two large, circular millstones, a reference to the many mills that formerly operated along this stretch of the river.

On Bonhay Road close to the bridge is the popular pub and restaurant Mill on the Exe. This site was formerly a paper mill and corn mill. The name of the bridge was chosen by public competition."
