Accessibility:

There is free on-site parking available in the orchard. There are several sets of steep stairs within the house so only the ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users. There are braille guides and large print guides available. There is a toilet available for public use, with handrails for users with disabilities. Drinks, snacks and souvenirs are available to purchase in the reception area.

 

Brief Description:

A typical Edwardian house built in 1905, virtually unaltered since 1923 when the Straw family lived there. View the décor and objects which reflect the lifestyle of a well-off grocer family.

From Nottingham (36.3 miles). Follow M1 northbound to A616 in Derbyshire. Take the A6153 exit. Take A619 and A60 to Bylth Grove in Worksop.

 

From Sheffield (20.3 miles). Follow Sheffield Parkway, M1 and A57 eastbound to Gateford Road/B6041 in Nottinghamshire. Follow B6041 to Carlton Road/A60 in Worksop. Turn right onto Carlton Road/A60. Continue on The Baulk. Drive to Blyth Grove.
