Brief description
https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/quebec-house/features/things-to-see-and-do-at-quebec-house
"Take a step back to the Georgian era and discover the family home of General James Wolfe. Uncover the reality of the Battle of Quebec, his most famous campaign, as well as exploring life in the 1730's when the General was a child here.
House
This intimate 18th-century family home, with its pretty garden, was the boyhood home of General James Wolfe. Visitors can uncover the reality of the Battle of Quebec in 1759 and reflect on his legacy for both his contemporaries and for us today.
Visitors can also explore how James' family lived in the 1730's; including the food they would have eaten and the toys which would have kept them entertained.
Garden
Enjoy our 18th-century garden, hidden away in the heart of Westerham. The garden is stocked with flowers and plants from the time and we've used Mrs Wolfe’s recipe book to fill our kitchen garden and herb border with the ingredients that Mrs Wolfe would have used to keep her family well-fed and healthy.
Coach House
Enjoy homemade cakes along with a selection of hot and cold drinks in our tea-room. Afterwards find an interesting read in our new second-hand bookshop. With books donated by our volunteers and visitors, all the money raised from the bookshop goes back into maintaining Quebec House.
Paths of glory exhibition
Learn about the battle which made General James Wolfe a household name, in our exhibition room. The exhibition brings alive the story of the Quebec campaign and is an unmissable part of your visit to Quebec House."
