Accessibility:

There is limited car parking directly outside monument, and no dedicated disability parking. There are no public toilets. The site is on two grassed levels with set of about 10 steps between the two, making wheelchair access difficult. Guide dogs are welcome.

Amenities: 

There is no café at the site. There are a few pubs nearby that serve hot and cold food and drink daily. Alternatively there are plenty of places to eat, drink and stay in Bridgend.

Brief Description:

Initially a Norman castle, the ruined site appears to have been refortified by Henry II in the 1180s, as indicated by the exceptional quality of the masonry.
