Brief Description:
A small ancient market town on the river Taw. The population was chiefly dependant on the woollen and agricultural industries for centuries. Now it is a centre for light industry.

From the A377 travelling north or south take the exit at Copplestone for the A3072. Follow the road until reaching the junction of the A3124 and turn north towards North Tawton.
