"Most shows and events now use flashing and moving lighting effects, some shows also utilise strobe lighting effects.

There are signs up to let you know and you can also ask when you arrive.

If you have any concerns, please do let us know in advance by contacting our customer service team.

Please note that some shows may also use confetti, pyrotechnic effects, real flames and latex balloon effects.

While we endeavour to provide accurate information regarding effects in use during a show all lighting, sound, pyrotechnics, etc. are under the control of the touring production so effects may change during the show without notice."

There is no on-site parking, but there are several multi-storey car parks in the area. Closest car park is NCP Car Park Rapports (plus code: FRHH+V9 Cardiff).

"Live Access Scheme

The live access scheme allows customers with disabilities to be able to take advantage of very accommodating offerings. This includes the following:

  • Reduced ticket prices.
  • A complimentary seat just for their personal assistant.

The best part is that it is easy to join. Customers will need to fill out a short form wherein they will have to provide proof of their disability. After this has taken place, it will be a simple matter of sending the form to the arena.

Anyone that does signup will want to allow 14 days for processing to see if they are eligible.

The venue will always do their best in an attempt to make all guests as comfortable as possible. Call the venue ahead of time if you need any special assistance."

"We are proud of our Live Access Scheme here at Utilita Arena Cardiff, as it allows as many fans as possible to enjoy the events they love.

We work with Attitude Is Everything to ensure our Live Access customers have the best possible experience during their visit. Your feedback is always welcome. Live Access is a pre-booked facility and we have limited capacity in our accessible areas. Live Access tickets sell out very quickly, especially on events where there is a fully standing floor.

We kindly ask that customers with access needs who require a seat do not purchase general admission standing tickets. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate you on the day if Live Access is Sold Out.

If you are looking to purchase tickets in advance for a show where Live Access seating is sold out, you can ask our Box Office team to add you to the waiting list and they will be able to notify you before the event if any Live Access Tickets become available.

We don't have the room for any parking onsite for our audiences, but we are surrounded by plenty of multi-storey car parks. For your sat navs our postcode is CF10 2EQ. Our What3Words location is ///points.famous.starts

    Brief description:

The Arena is an event and indoor exhibition facility.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_International_Arena

"Cardiff International Arena (formerly known as Cardiff International Arena & Convention Centre and currently, for sponsorship reasons, as Utilita Arena Cardiff) is an indoor exhibition centre and events arena located in Cardiff, Wales, and was opened on 9 September 1993 by singer Shirley Bassey.[1] It is Cardiff's largest purpose-built exhibition facility and its former name was due to a sponsorship agreement from 2011 to 2022. The upstairs of the building is known as the World Trade Centre.[2]

The arena contains a number of function areas, the largest being the main arena which has hosted many national and international events, such as concerts, sports and comedy performances.

In March 2015, the venue's 3000th event was marked by a show headlined by singer Katherine Jenkins.[9] In July 2016, Motorpoint extended its naming rights contract with the arena until at least 2021. This included a complete re-branding of the building including installation of outdoor LED signage on the arena's towers.[10]

The arena reverted back to its original CIA name on 22 September 2022 after being named Motorpoint Arena Cardiff since March 2011.[11]

During August 2023 the arena was renamed Utilita Arena Cardiff, for sponsorship reasons, after the energy company entered into an agreement regarding the naming rights to the arena.[12] The main arena offers 4,500 square metres of exhibition space, and is very versatile, for the number of different events that take place at the arena. Full capacity can reach 7,500, in a standing layout and 5,000, for a fully seated event.

There are over 30 additional areas, including a conference suite (groups of up to 460) and four executive boardrooms"
