Brief description

"We specialise in collecting, restoring and running buses and coaches that spent most of their working lives in Oxford city or serving the public of Oxfordshire. As the collection grew, permanent premises were needed, and Since 1984 the museum has been at the old railway station yard in Long Hanborough."

Directions

"Head for OX29 8LA in Long Hanborough village on the A4095 Bicester - Witney road. 

Look out for the brown 'Transport Museum' signs.

From further afield, leave the M40 at Junction 9, head south-bound on the A34, then follow signs for Blenheim Palace.

PARKING:

Our free car park has 15 spaces including one wide disabled parking space.

Additional car parking is available at the Hanborough rail station car park.

Charges apply Wednesdays & Saturdays."

"Oxford Bus Museum is located right beside Hanborough railway station, Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire, OX29 8LA, which is just 10 minutes away from Oxford Railway Station by train. 

Services by Great Western Railway run hourly on their route from London Paddington to Worcester via Reading, Oxford, Hanborough and Evesham.

VISITING BY BUS

Bus route 233 to/from Woodstock - Long Hanborough - Witney - Burford.

Runs Monday to Saturday daytime every 30 minutes. Stopping outside Hanborough rail station entrance (There is a new hourly Sunday 233 bus service. Buses leave Woodstock hourly from 0910 until 1810 and from Burford hourly from 0909 until 1709. Buses leave Hanborough Rail Station for Woodstock hourly from 0847 until 1747 and for Burford hourly from 0918 until 1718 with an extra service at 1818 terminating in Witney.)
