Accessibility:
There is on-site parking available and also an overflow car park at Sansom Wood which includes 5 blue badge parking spaces. The pumping station is built on a slight incline with a mixture of cobble sets and asphalt on the main drive, all paths are wheelchair-accessible. There is ramped access into the café. Entry to the Engine House is only via stairs, so not accessible to wheelchair users and those with low mobility. For those unable to access the Engine House an access book is available showing details of the upper floors. On Steaming days guided tours are run up to the underground reservoir. Due to the nature of entrance (via a hatch and staircase in the roof of the structure) and its Listing status it is not accessible to those with mobility issues. There are public toilets including disability toilets which are wheelchair-accessible. Guide books are available in large print, and assistance dogs are welcome. A wheelchair is available to loan on request.

Directions:
From Nottingham (9 miles). Follow A610 and A60 northbound to Burntstump Hill in Nottinhamshire. Take Ash Lane and Rigg Lane to your destination.
From Mansfield (7.3 miles). Take A6009, Nottingham Road and Longdale Lane southound to Ravenshead. Continue on Longdale Lane until you reach your destination.
