A gateway from Leathley Lane leads via a flagged path to the church door. The church is set on a hill. It is fairly well lit.
Brief description
St Oswalds is a Grade I listed building. A church was first built on the site in about 1100AD and there are still parts of this original building remaining in the tower, the east and west walls. It was added to in the fifteenth century. There is some Mouseman furniture and tributes carved into walls to the Percy family and the seating is boxed pews.

St Oswalds is a few miles north of both Bradford and Leeds, both on mainline stations, but there is no direct bus or rail link to Leathley. The church is located on the edge of the village green, near the village hall.
