Cattle grid to level parking area. Tarmac paths surrounded by grass. Picnic benches and barbecues. No toilet facilities.
Brief Description:
Pembrey Mountain or Mynydd Pen-bre viewpoint is situated a few miles north of Pembrey and Burry Port. It provides a picnic area and far reaching views of the Gwendraeth Fawr valley and Carmarthen Bay.
There are footpaths passing the site so it can be used as a starting point or can be included in local walks, see map for details:

The turning to Mountain Road (Heol Y Mynydd) is found on the A484 between Pembrey and Burry Port, follow brown tourist sign (opposite cemetery) for 2.5 miles (4 km), OR take the turning on the B4308 between Pen Y Mynydd and Trimsaran, follow brown tourist sign for .75 miles (1.2km). OS SN 453 037
Transport:
Access is probably best by car as there is no public transport directly to the site.
There is a railway station at Burry Port about 2.5 miles (4km) away.
