Accessibility:
There are car parks close to each of the activities within the park. Some of them - like the ski centre and the large car parks near the beach - have designated disability spaces. The park is generally flat and well-paved throughout although paths through the woods and dunes may be steep and/or rough. There are toilets at the camp site, beach kiosk and ski centre. Most activities are disability-friendly but it is advised to call the activity in advance to make sure.
Brief Description:
Pembrey Country Park is a large public space with a large, sandy beach, dry ski slope, toboggan, crazy golf, pitch and putt, train rides, adventure play area, equestrian centre, nature trails and WWI/II military ruins. It is situated off the A484 between Llanelli and Carmarthen.
The parkland is largely flat and easily accessible by both car and wheelchair but the woodland and dune areas can be considerably more demanding. There is a charge to enter the park by car and some of the activities carry a separate charge as well.
The park holds an array of events throughout the year from dog shows to steam fairs.
