"Step-free category A: there is step-free access to all platforms.The platforms are level with the Main Entrance of the station. There are tactile warnings on all platforms in use. Induction loops are only in Help Points. Ramps are kept at this station to provide assistance, on the platform in view of the on-train staff.
There are no platform staff available at this station. Assistance will be provided by the Conductor on the train.
There is space in front of the ticket machine to manoeuvre a wheelchair. The controls are at a suitable height for wheelchair users."

2026: "Pentre-bach railway station serves the villages of Pentrebach and Abercanaid in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. It is located on the Merthyr branch of the Merthyr Line. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales. The station was first opened by the Taff Vale Railway in 1886.[1]
Transport for Wales operates a basic half-hourly service in each direction (Mon-Sat): northbound to Merthyr Tydfil and southbound to Pontypridd, Radyr and Cardiff Central. On Sunday, there is an hourly service each way to Merthyr and Cardiff Central.[2]"
