Accessibility:

There is no provision to walk across the bridge.

Brief description:

Robert Stephenson designed the bridge to carry the main railway line from North Wales across Anglesey to Holyhead.

Later altered to hold the A55 road above the railway line.

The Visitor centre can be found just off the A5 in Menai Bridge Town on the Island.

Opening Times:

Bridge open daily.

Thomas Telford Visitor centre open Easter to 31 October on Wednesday and Thursdays 10.00 to 17.00. Admission Fee payable.

Transport:

There are Bus stops at either end of the bridge.

Nearest Train stations at Llanfairpwll on the Island and Bangor on the Mainland.
