Accessibility:

A small car park is available to visitors, with a well-maintained footpath of approximately 200 metres in length leading to the beach. Vehicular access to this beach is not permitted. Car parking is free of charge. There are no disability spaces. Dogs are allowed on the beach. The beach is sandy and pebbly.

Brief Description:

Porth Neigwl, or Hells Mouth, is a south west facing rural beach frequented by surfers and kayakers because of the relatively large waves.

Directions:

Follow A499 to the town of Abersoch. and from there. head in a south-westerly direction towards the village of Llanengan. Continue on the road through the village towards the coastline and the beach is less than half a mile away. OS SH 227281.

Amenities:

At the beach you can go swimming, surfing, kayaking, fishing and there are specific areas for watersports. Harbour porpoises and bottle nose dolphins navigate the waters. There are ample footpaths and walkways within the surrounding area, particularly westwards towards Aberdaron. There are a number of places to eat and drink nearby.
