Public computers have visual impairment software, and there's a children's section (with dyslexia-friendly coloured books). Despite the overall small space, there are wide gaps between bookshelves and movable chairs at the reading table. The service desk is low. Library is well lit and equipped with hearing loop technology.

Directions: From the A4106 into the roundabout at Porthcawl, take the 5th exit onto Lias Road. Continue on Lias Road for 472 feet (144m), and turn right onto Church Place. Library will be to your immediate left. (To get to the John Street Car Park: Take the same 5th exit onto Lias Road. Continue on Lias Road for 266 feet (81m), then turn left onto Old School Road. The John Street Car Park opens up around you. Parking fees normally apply, and Blue Badge parking is free. After you park, retrace your path back to Lias Road, then turn left onto Lias Road. Head west toward Church Place for 207 feet (63m). Cross Church Place, turn right, and the library will be at your immediate left.)
