Accessibility:

Ample parking with designated disability spaces. Drop off point available at the front of Powercourt House. Maps available outlining paths best suited for wheelchair users. Electronic doors. Wheelchairs are available to borrow for your visit - best booked in advance. Many benches and picnic tables throughout the gardens. Good access for wheelchairs into the café and terrace area. Disability toilets available in Powerscourt House and at the waterfall. Lift available to the ballroom within the house. No dogs allowed other than assistance dogs.

Brief Description:

In 1730 the 1st Viscount Powerscourt commissioned an architect to transform the medieval castle at Powerscourt into a grand mansion. This was completed in 1714. Today the house and gardens have both been voted highly by The Lonely Planet Guide with Powerscourt House ranking in the Top Ten mansions and Gardens Worldwide.

Open daily: 9am-5.30pm. Gardens close at dusk in Winter. Opening times for the other attractions vary - please see powerscourt gardens website for more information.

Admission fees: Adults: €6.50. Student/OAP: €6. Child(Under 13): €3.50. Children under 5 free. Family Ticket: €18 (2 adults & up to 3 children). *Carers and assistants free of charge to the gardens.
