Accessibility:

There is a car park on the highest point of the B4329 where there is a path that leads to the highest peak on the range. The car park is compacted gravel and relatively flat but the path up to the peak is grass or stone, rugged and steep in parts.

Brief Description:

The Preseli Mountain range lies mainly within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and stretches around 13 miles from Dinas Island to Frenni Fach, near Crymych.

The range is home to a very diverse ecosystem from moorland and bogland to farmland

The Preselis have many prehistoric sites and are a popular tourist destination. It has been settled by humans for thousands of years with remnants of activity scattered across the entire area, from standing stones and stone circles to burial chambers and hill forts. Many are marked on OS maps of the areas and are often on open land that can be visited, albeit with care as paths are either rugged or non-existent.

The area is also famous for its slate, with Rosebush Quarry offering a pleasant backdrop for a picnic. The Castell Henllys reconstructed Iron Age fort also falls within the range.
