Accessibility

Parking and accessibility parking at both ends of the way. The walkway has a continuous level tarmac path, and regularly placed benches along the route. There are picnic benches in the Dyserth car park. Dogs welcome, poo bins and litter bins provided throughout the route. There are signposted routes off the Dyserth - Prestatyn way into Meliden town. Some of these routes are steep, with steps and/or natural pathways and so may be unsuitable for those with poor vision/balance, push chair users, and wheelchair or mobility scooter users. There are some cafe's and rest stops along the way, which offer food, drink, toilets, and accessibility toilets. There are fields off the way ideal for dogs to play loose in, although these are on the hillside, and accessible through kissing gates, so may be difficult to access for users of wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and families with pushchairs.

Brief description

The Dyserth - Prestatyn Way is a 2.6 mile walkway, going from Dyserth, through Meliden, to Prestatyn with stunning views over the area. The walkway follows the route of a disused rail-line which used to serve the mines and quarries which ran through the area.
