"Purton Museum is home to an interesting collection reflecting Purton's long heritage from Neolithic times to the modern day. Of particluar note is a comprehensive collection of agricultural hand tools and dairy equipment - evidence of the village's past reliance on the land. Purton Museum features exhibits related to Industry, Toys and Hobbies, Social History, Personalities, Agriculture, Sport, Weapons and War, Religion and Trade and Commerce. Key themes, people and exhibits in the museum include: Purton Working Mens Institute and Coffee Tavern, Lydiard Millicent, James Kibblewhite, horse harness, tithe map, athletics and Purton."
