The ground floor is fully accessible including an accessible toilet.

There are four galleries on the ground floor as well as the garden and coffee area.

There are activities for children throughout the museum and learning aides suitable for everyone. Visually impaired visitors can ask for any assistance they require with orientation and reading information.

Directions

By Car: Uttoxeter is situated in East Staffordshire, 15 miles east of Burton-on-Trent and 12 miles west of Stoke-on-Trent so is easily accessible by exiting the M6 at Junction 15 or the M1 at Junction 23a then taking the A50 towards Uttoxeter.

By bus: There are regular buses from Burton-on-Trent and Stoke-on-Trent bus stations which stop at many of the small villages and towns on route.

By train: There are hourly trains from Stoke-on-Trent and Derby stations to Uttoxeter Railway station and then there is a 10-15 minute walk to the museum.

There are limited free on-street parking places outside Redfern’s Cottage but "if you have a blue badge you can ring us to arrange a parking space at the back of the museum."
