Accessibility:

At the Museum's first site on the western side, about 180 yards south of its junction with Guilford Street,there is single yellow line parking on which blue badge holders can park for up to 3 hours.  At the second, which also contains the "mail train" underground attraction, about 200 yards further South on the Eastern side, opposite its entrance, there is local parking is for resident permit holders only, but blue badge users are able to use them. There is a zebra crossing on all entrance roads. The museum has very good access facilities for wheelchair users. There is flat access from the road and passage into the building through automatic opening doors. Flat floors exist throughout the building and with a Stannah lift between floors. There is an AED life-saving defibrillator in the main public area. The museum has a disability toilet with adequate space, flat floors, grab rails and alarm pull cord.

Brief Description:

The museum is an independent charity and receives a yearly donation from the Royal mail to manage its archives. The museum is dedicated to sharing the heritage of the British postal history with attractions, artefacts and educational resources. The museum has 2 sites on Phoenix Place: one on the western side, about 180 yards south of its junction with Guilford Street, and the second, which also contains the "mail train" underground attraction, is about 200 yards further South on the Eastern side.

The nearest train and tube station is at King’s Cross and St Pancras. From the stations travel south along the A501 and join the A5200 Grays Inn Road. Turn north east onto Calthorpe Street and south into Phoenix Place to reach the museum.
