Brief description
https://www.royalporthcawl.com/course/course-overview/
"Consistently ranked among the finest golf courses in the world, the course is set on a gentle slope that runs down to the shore, creating a sense of space and serenity. Free from the sand dunes typical of traditional links, it offers uninterrupted sea views from every hole. The location affords quietly spectacular vistas—south to Somerset and Exmoor, and northwest across Swansea Bay to the Gower Peninsula.
With holes oriented to every point of the compass, the course offers a continual test of skill, with shifting winds ensuring that no two rounds feel the same. Players are likely to draw on every club in the bag. Its reputation as one of the world’s great courses is upheld by a long history of hosting prestigious amateur and professional events."

The Clubhouse is probably nearer the high tide mark than any other in Britain. The 40ft tide, one of the highest in the world, means that the view is stunning and ever-changing. There are fully licensed bars and lounges and an excellent dining room."
