"Ryedale Folk Museum is in the picturesque village of Hutton le Hole in the North York Moors National Park. We are located on the road which runs from Kirkbymoorside over ‘Blakey Ridge’ to the village of Castleton, just two miles north of the main A170 road between Helmsley and Pickering. Postcode for navigation – YO62 6UA It’s less than a one-hour drive from Whitby, York, Scarborough and Middlesbrough and around a one and half hour drive to Leeds and Hull."

The Museum does not have its own car park but there are two close-by. Museum visitors can make use of The Crown Inn car park, which is immediately next door to the Museum. £3 per day – coins only (for those not eating at The Crown Inn). Alternatively, you can park in the North York Moors National Park car park on Moor Lane, a 300m walk from the Museum. The National Park car park is more expensive than the pub car park."
