Brief description
"Discover the story of a Yorkshire community on the Lancashire side of the Pennines
The museum collection galleries tell the story of the people who have created Saddleworth’s landscape and character. The museum has something for all the family, is wheelchair friendly, and presents its’ collections, shop and facilities in a thoroughly modern way within the carefully restored fabric of a building dating back to 1862.
Our canal-side community gallery provides additional space for the local community and is the scene of varied art exhibitions, presentations, museum fundraising events and learning activities."
