Accessibility:

Disability access is restricted to the ground floor, however there are webcams to view the tower from the ground floor. Accessible toilet available. There is a wheelchair available at the mill for use upon request. Assistance dogs welcome.


Brief Description:

Skidby Mill is the last working mill in East Yorkshire, built in 1821. It is a grade ii listed building. In 1954 the sails were disconnected and electric machinery was installed. The mill was restored in 1974, back to using it's 4 sails and wind power.

Opening Hours:

10am - 5pm Last admission 4.15. Closed good Friday, Christmas day, boxing day, new years day.

Directions:

Situated 5.1 miles South of Beverley. Head south on Queensgate/A164. At double roundabout take 2nd exit at both, and continue on Queensgate/A164. At next roundabout, take 2nd exit and continue on Victoria Road/A164. Upon reaching main junction/roundabout, take 2nd exit and continue on A164. At next roundabout, take 3rd exit onto Main Street and take 1st left onto Beverley Road. The windmill will be on your right hand side. OS TA020333.
