Accessibility:
The main entrance to the gallery has ramped access. Guide dogs are welcome here. There is a lift inside for access to the first floor galleries. Baby changing facilities and accessible toilets can be found inside.
Brief Description:
Ferens Art Gallery opened in 1927. It was refurbished and extended in 1991 and has recently undergone a further refurbishment in order to host the Turner Prize 2017. It is a Grade II listed building, holding an array of permanent collections and roving exhibitions. There is also a children's gallery for 0-5 year olds, allowing art work made within the gallery to be displayed.

Mon-Wed 10am-5pm, Thursday 10am-7.30pm, Fri & Sat 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4.30pm. Last admission 30 minutes prior to closing.
Directions:
Situated 11.9 miles South of Beverley. Head West on York Road/A1079. Continue along Beverley Road/A1079 for 9.8 miles. This will then lead onto Ferens Way/A1079. Continue on Ferens Way and turn left onto Anlaby Road, continuing onto Carr Lane. Turn left onto Chariot Street and then right onto Paragon Street. From here you will need to park and walk to the gallery. OS TA096287
Transport:
Buses operate in and around the area, with the closest stop located on Carr Lane. A short walk from the gallery. The Paragon Interchange is the closest train station. Approximately a ten minute walk away. There are a limited amount of pay-and-display parking bays close by.
