Brief description
Village situated 4 miles from Newport on the South Western side of the Isle of Wight. Said to be one of Queen Victoria's favourite places to visit on the island.

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, town centre, Pyle Street, B3323 to Shorwell.
From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Newport, town centre, Pyle Street, B3323 to Shorwell.
From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Totland, A3055. From the A3055, Military Road, along the south cost of the Island take the turning inland sign posted for Brighstone, on New Road. Follow this road all the way through the village until you reach a T junction, where turn right onto Main Road B3399 signposted for Shorwell.
