There is no parking at the church, but there is limited parking by its churchyard wall. There is plenty of parking in Sidmouth, which includes disability spaces. There are public toilets in the town, with disability toilets accessible with a RADAR key. The church has disability access. Assistance dogs are welcome.

The church is a Victorian re-build on ancient foundations. Recent excavations to put in a new floor have revealed medieval churches of the 15th and 13th centuries and an earlier Norman church built with beach boulders and shingle.
