Accessibility:

It is possible to park immediately opposite the museum and there is a ramped entrance at the front of the building, with paved walkway leading up to it.  Once inside the venue is fairly flat, all cases are well lit for display purposes.


Brief Description:

Soldiers in Silloth Toy Soldier Experience is a museum exhibition run by volunteers displaying toy soldiers and other related items. The collection of over 10,000 figures was built up by a local resident who then dedicated them to benefit the town. Some exhibits depict the battle of Waterloo, Soldiers of Ancient Egypt, Hadrians Wall and almost every period of warfare leading up to World War ll.

Directions:

Situated in Silloth, 23.2 miles W of Carlisle either travelling west on the B5307, or  via the A595, turning North onto the A596. After 5,8 miles turn North West onto the B5302 and continue following this road. The road will bear left along the sea front and the destination will be on your left hand side at the junction of Caldew Street. OS NY110537


Transport:
