Accessibility:

There is no car park specifically for the church but there is a public house across the road with a car park on the road side and there is some space on the grass verge opposite the church yard entrance.  The latter is grass but prevents the need to cross a reasonably major A road.

Brief Description:

Saint Afan's Church has a history going back to the 6th century and is dedicated to Saint Afan. A medieval church also stood here for hundreds of years but was completely rebuilt in 1873. The current building includes a nave, chancel and south transept. Artefacts on the church site include part of the carved wooden screen, an ancient octangular font, wall plaques, 6-7th century pillar stone with incised Celtic cross and a 2000+ year old yew tree.
