St Andrew's is usually open 24 hours a day. There are double yellow lines both sides of the road on which the church is sited. The paths are uneven tarmac from the gate on Church Bank with flagstones and a tarmac ramp at the main door. There is one set of pews at the back and four at the middle of the nave. There is a slight rise up to the pews from the central aisle. There is one step from the nave to the chancel. It is reasonably lit though the ceiling is dark wood.

Brief description
It is a medieval Grade II listed building, rebuilt in 1536, with one of the largest graveyards in the country. Inside is a fine rood screen which was moved there from Jervaulx Abbey. The reredos and altar are built of Caen stone and there is also a beautifully carved Abbot's stall. The carpet in the central aisle is uneven. The interior is fairly well lit.

Directions
Take the A684 from Leyburn to Aysgarth then Church Row to the right to Carperby. St Andrews is on the right, up a tarmac path and just after The Falls Coffee House and Gift Shop. Pay and display parking is available next to the church.

Transport
There is a regular bus service between Leyburn and Hawes which allows access to Aysgarth with a walk of about fifteen minutes.
