Brief description

"St Andrew's church sits on the southern side of Langton's principal lane opposite the village green. The church has little remaining of its mediaeval origins having been largely rebuilt at the start of the 1820s, traces of a 13th century chancel arch are the only ancient parts cited by Pevsner. The building is clearly of little architectural merit as Pevsner dismisses the description in a few lines. The church sits behind a low local stone wall and is well-screened by trees, an arched metal gateway at the eastern end grants access. There are quite a few trees within the churchyard which somewhat restrict the angles available for photography."
