There is no vehicular access to the Lighthouse.
There is on-road parking in Niton Undercliffe with a 20 minute walk down a steep private road to reach the Lighthouse.

19th Century automated lighthouse on the southern tip of the Isle of Wight. One of the first lighthouses in the world to be powered by electricity.

Directions
From Newport, leave Southwards on A3020 signposted towards Sandown and Shanklin.
At Blackwater Junction turn right towards Shanklin and follow this road, A3020, into Rookley.
In Rookley take right hand fork signposted for Niton.
Continue on this road all the way into Niton.
At the junction with the A3055 in the village, carry straight on and carry on until a turning on the right which is St Catherine's Road, signposted to the Buddle Inn with brown signage.
Carry on this road, passing the Inn, and as the road turns sharply to the right, carry straight on where you should park.
The private road to access the lighthouse continues on from this road.
From Yarmouth Ferry take the A3054 westwards and remain on this road until you reach a roundabout at the junction with the A3055.
Take the A3055 signposted for Freshwater and continue on via Freshwater Bay, where the road becomes known as the Military Road.
Carry along the coast, until you approach Niton village where you should follow the road through the one way system.
At the cross roads turn right towards Niton Undercliffe, and then at next junction carry straight on, on the A3055, and continue until you reach a turning on the right which is St Catherine's Road, signposted to the Buddle Inn with brown signage.
Carry on this road, passing the Inn, and as the road turns sharply to the right, carry straight on where you should park.
The private road to access the lighthouse continues on from this road.
