"Welcome to Carmarthen Shopmobility

Carmarthen Shopmobility is a scheme which lends scooters and manual wheelchairs to anyone with limited mobility so they can enjoy Carmathen Town Centre.

Easy Going in Carmarthen: Even if you have serious difficulty walking, you can still enjoy Carmarthen Town Centre.

Hire one of Shopmobility's powered scooters or wheelchairs (including a wheelchair with a power pack), and you will have the freedom to go shopping in the extensively pedestrianised streets. Much of this area offers a smooth, level surface without kerbs that is ideal for anyone with a disability.

Scooters: It doesn't matter why your mobility is limited or whether you are a resident or visitor to Carmarthen. Shopmobility is there to lend a helping hand (or wheel) to anyone who needs it!

Where are we?: We are located on the ground floor of the Debenham's car park, near the pay machines and the disabled parking spaces. See the Location page for a map.

If you are arriving by bus, we may be able to meet you with a scooter. Please contact us to make prior arrangements.

Using Shopmobility: You need to be a member to hire equipment - you can join when you hire, all you need is two forms of ID. More details are on the Hiring Equipment page.

Facilities: We also have a disabled toilet that is large enough for a scooter to be taken in.
